Try to wrap your arms around a memory.

This one is my favorite track off the latest Bush album The Sea of Memories. The melancholy is addicting. I’ve always liked the inclusion of ballads on rock albums — my breather tracks, if I may be so bold to call them that.

My fave line off All Night Doctors is this blog post’s title, but I also like the lyric “Were you ever my love?” and its placement near the end of the song. The touch of uncertainty is appealing. (Or maybe I’m just a lovesick fool who’s in love with the idea of love, hmm.)

I feel that this “review” is incomplete, because I haven’t delved yet into the other ideas presented by the song…. but I’m so excited to share this song on my blog so I’m just posting away haha!

Aaaaaah…  All I know is that I love my power ballads. 🙂

[Thank you, Bush, for the lyric videos.]
